Markus Staudt, President of the Austrian National Council, and Delegation Visit Mutianyu Great Wall on the 55th Anniversary of China-Austria Diplomatic Relations

2026 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Austria. On this occasion, Markus Staudt, President of the Austrian National Council, and his delegation visited the Mutianyu Great Wall on March 30.

Ma Zhanli, Chairman of the Labor Union of Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall Tourism Service Co., Ltd., accompanied the visit, and presented the delegation with a Great Wall climbing certificate and an exquisite picture album of the Mutianyu Great Wall. Both sides extended sincere wishes to each other.

Markus Staudt and his delegation arrived at the Great Wall by closed cable car. During the visit, the interpreter introduced the long history and cultural connotations of the Chinese Great Wall to the delegation, and gave a detailed explanation of the defense system and architectural features of the Mutianyu Great Wall.
