To facilitate people-to-people exchanges, China has expanded the visa-free country list. From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay may enter China visa-free for business, tourism, family visits, exchange, or transit (up to 30 days). Those ineligible must obtain a visa prior to entry.
