On May 7, 2025, Charles Michel, former President of the European Council and former Prime Minister of Belgium, and his wife visited the Mutianyu Great Wall. Guo Min, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall Tourism Service Co., Ltd., accompanied them during the visit.

Charles Michel and his wife took the cable car to the Great Wall. During the visit, while listening to the tour guide's explanation, they also inquired about the rich history, culture, as well as the defensive works and architectural features of the Mutianyu Great Wall from the guide, and couldn't help but praise the great wisdom of ancient Chinese people.
