To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, on November 29, 2024, the "Home Beyond and Within the Great Wall" Photography Joint Exhibition (Huairou Station) celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, hosted by the Propaganda Department of Huairou District Committee, Huairou District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Huairou District Photographers Association, and supported by Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall Tourism Service Co., Ltd., was grandly opened at Mutianyu Great Wall ! This event brought a fascinating feast of the beauty of the Great Wall and the richness of regional culture to numerous photography enthusiasts and tourists.
The joint exhibition gathered 100 outstanding works themed on the Great Wall from photographers in five locations across three provinces. These works, featuring unique perspectives and exquisite craftsmanship, showcased the majestic beauty, historical depth, and local customs of the surrounding areas of the Great Wall. Each work was like a silent story, telling the legends of the Great Wall. The photographers precisely captured the unique charm of the Great Wall under different seasons and lighting conditions through their lenses, allowing viewers to deeply feel the magnificent beauty and historical richness of the Great Wall.
Before the exhibition, the photographers visited the Mutianyu Great Wall Spirit Inheritance Hall, which integrates functions such as a patriotic education base, a party member education and training base, and a Great Wall history museum. Centered on the theme of "Spirit of the Great Wall, Bond of Peace, Bridge of the World," it showcased nine themed sections: Watching for Peace, Century of Glory, Red Memory, Chapter of Peace and Friendship in New China, New Beijing·New Huairou, The Great Wall of the World·The Great Wall's World, Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Set Sail, Red Classroom, and Party Building Highlights. With the help of images, text, and exhibited objects, accompanied by the vivid explanations of the docents, the visiting photographers gained a deeper understanding of the history of the Great Wall, profoundly felt the spirit of the Great Wall, and inherited the red bloodline.
After the exhibition opened, photographers from different regions either exchanged creative insights in front of the works or carefully appreciated the excellent works of other photographers, creating a lively atmosphere and promoting cultural exchanges and cooperation among regions.
This photography joint exhibition was not only a visual feast but also a grand gathering of cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, the exhibition also added new cultural connotations to the Mutianyu Great Wall scenic area.
