The wisdom of the laboring people of ancient China is vividly reflected in the construction of the Great Wall. It can be found not only in the process of obtaining raw materials locally: the soil is used as raw materials where there is soil, stones are fully utilized where there is a mountain, and the slope is cut as a trench where there is a slope; but more importantly, in pooling all the efforts for quick and decisive construction, achieving the greatest effect in the shortest time. The reason why most of the ancient construction of the Great Wall took the quick and decisive approach is that this way was better for mobilizing the enthusiasm of the people, which is the so-called "do it all at once, second time tired, third time exhausted". It was based on the practical experience of the working people that the organizers mastered the quick and decisive method for the Great Wall building. To sum up, the construction of the Great Wall in ancient times is an excellent example of the collective intelligence of toilers and administrators, as well as the wisdom of the entire Chinese nation.
