The Mutianyu Great Wall scenic area offers two main footpaths. The southern path can be accessed from the south side of the China Dream Stone City or from within the stone city itself. Along this path, visitors can reach No.6 watchtower and No.8 watchtower. The northern one is located on the east side of the cable car platform and leads to No.10 watchtower. Each footpath consists of more than 1,100 steps, and it generally takes around 40 minutes to reach the Great Wall. These two main paths can further be divided into four branch paths. Each path can form a loop, allowing visitors to easily explore the open section of the scenic area.
