The Cultural and Tourism Service Special Section of 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), themed "Technology Empowers New Cultural Tourism, Creativity Leads New Life," debuted at Shougang Park from September 12th to 16th. Mutianyu Great Wall featured three exhibition areas, including a smart tourism convenient payment booth in Hall 1 and two exquisite cultural and creative booths in Halls 9 and 10. The focus was on showcasing the latest integration of Mutianyu's cultural heritage with smart tourism, highlighting the unique charm of blending traditional Mutianyu culture with modern technology, and promoting Mutianyu's positive role in better preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the Great Wall and serving as a window for major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Mutianyu Great Wall has long been a significant destination for hosting foreign guests. With the gradual recovery of the international tourism market and a swift rebound in international tourist arrivals, the proportion of international visitors at the scenic area has rapidly risen to over 30% while the total number of visitors remains unchanged. To better accommodate foreign guests and cater to the needs of tourists from various countries and regions, Mutianyu Great Wall has implemented a series of convenience measures. The Smart Payment for the Great Wall Tourist Attraction booth located in Hall 1 of the CIFTIS showcases Mutianyu's comprehensive convenient payment system.

The scenic area supports multi-channel ticket purchasing both online and offline. The Mutianyu Great Wall Tourism Network enables overseas online ticket bookings, allowing international visitors to book tickets in advance and enjoy the attraction immediately upon arrival, with tickets available for booking up to 30 days in advance. Foreign tourists can switch to the English interface on the website for direct ticket purchases, and ticketing links are also available on overseas social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok for easy access. To facilitate convenient payment for foreigners, the system has added additional ticketing channels like Ctrip and TripAdvisor. Currently, Ctrip supports multiple languages (Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, French, German, etc.).

In terms of offline payments, to address the inconvenience of international tourists paying in China, Mutianyu Great Wall accepts various currencies, including USD and EUR, and supports payments via foreign currency credit cards like VISA and MasterCard, as well as domestic payment methods like UnionPay, WeChat Pay, and Alipay. Upon successful purchase, international visitors can quickly enter the scenic area using QR codes, passports, or other means, creating a safer, more convenient, and efficient touring experience for them.
